The Attorney General Office (AGO) is among the key criminal justice administration institutions with the constitutional mandate to ensure respect for the law, protection of the rights of the citizens and for the prosecution of crimes. However, the office experienced the destruction of both its institutional systems and infrastructure during civil war, negatively affecting its functionality and ability to uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of the citizens. Against this backdrop, the AGO is in the restructuring process of transforming this institution both Benadir, and other regional administrations across Somalia for the rebuilding of key institutional structures and systems that determine the performance of the AGO across the board
